The picture below demonstrates what a tee box looks like. It has markers indicated on where the player has to tee off from. In this instance, the mastercard logo represents where a player can tee off from. You can tee off up to 2 club lengths away from the tee box, but you cannot tee off in front of the marker unless if you want a penalty, there are several other rules that apply to tee boxes as well. What I do mean by the term, “teeing off,” is that this will always be the place where a golfer starts at each designed hole. So the very first hit a golfer takes will always occur on the tee box. Every hole has a tee box, so this is something that is not unusual to golfers.
